There is now hope for next year. Subject to funding from the new RSC Outreach Fund, the Chemistry at Work events planned will be able to go ahead.  The schools have booked eight days from February to July 2018 and I am seeking further funding to hopefully increase these events after this.

If any Chemistry at Work Organisers are seeking a demonstration and I am available I would be happy to help. I would only ask that the organiser find a demonstrator for my events in return. If I cannot help I could recommend potential contacts.

Over 300 students are expected so far and there is still space on the Tuesday for one more student group at our annual three-day event for Years 7 to 10, open from Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th June 2016 at the Milton Keynes City Discovery Centre.

Our Chemistry at Work days at St Michael’s Catholic School in High Wycombe and Aylesbury Grammar School are now fully ready to go and this year we are pleased to have the Analytical Chemists from Thames Water who are planning a demonstration entitled  “Cabbage Patch Chemistry”  using red cabbage juice to show pH levels, with hands on opportunities for the students.
